Tucked off to the side in East Lynn Park, south of The Danforth just west of Woodbine is the East Lynn Farmers’ Market. A haven for locals and near neighbors.
Every summer Thursday young families gather at the wading pool or playground to feast and play. There is face painting, a tremendously tall man with balloons, and whole pizzas brought down from the Pizza Nova on the Danforth.
I wish my kids were still little and we lived there. This is exactly the kind of thing I would be all over.
The market has the usual fare complimented with fresh cut fries, baked goods, wine, rice balls, cooked chicken, burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, cured meats, and cheeses. Thursdays can easily be a no cook day.
Parking is a bit of a bitch, but well worth the effort.
June to October, Thursdays 3pm – 7pm
